The description Households refers to living units in which people
dwell. Often this means families, but not exclusively. A single person living alone in one
dwelling unit or two or more unrelated individuals is considered a household. Therefore a
single family dwelling is a household but so also is an apartment or a condominium.
However, group quarters, such as a school dormitory or a prison in which 10 or more
unrelated persons dwell is not considered a household. |
